Why the Helsinki Summit Ticked Me Off

Posted by Troy on 16th July 2018 in Uncategorized

Or more appropriately, why the coverage of it ticked me off.  What it proved, beyond a shadow of the doubt, is that Trump can’t win with these people.

Just days before meeting with Putin, Rod Rosenstein comes out with a list of indictments against Russians for “meddling in our election.”  Immediately, there are calls for Trump to cancel the meeting, or at the very least, not to meet one on one.  If he cancelled the trip, it would be “proof” that Trump had colluded with Putin.  If he did not meet one on one, it signals weakness to Putin and it also would surely lead to leaks unless that person was beyond reproach–however, anyone that trustworthy for Trump would have been utterly dismissed by the people who demand others be present.  Finally, if he met with Putin one on one, then people would say that Trump was committing treason behind closed doors.  Trump can’t win.

Putin says, “I wanted Trump to win,” and the Left goes nuts.  Ah!  Proof!  Of course, we are supposed to believe that Putin is being honest when he says he wanted Trump to win, but he is lying when he says that Russia didn’t interfere in the election.  Putin’s trustworthiness, as with everything, is determined in relation to if it helps or hurts Trump.  With the media on his side, there’s no way Putin can lose.  No matter what he does or says, the US media will do his dirty work by sowing division in our country.  Meanwhile, Trump can’t win.

People ask him, “Mr. Trump!  What are you going to do about the Crimea?”  Where were these helpful souls in 2014?  You know which President should have done something?  Obama.  You know what multinational organization should have done something?  NATO.  Do you know what either of those did?  NOTHING.  Maybe if they started mobilizing troops and planes to the Ukraine and Crimea in 2014, Putin would have abandoned his plans, but now he occupies the Crimea.  The Crimea is gone.  The only thing that will get it back at this point is a hot war.  The moment came, and Obama chickened out.  NATO/Europe, in their typical fashion, appeased instead of fought.  It is Germany invading Czechoslovakia all over again.  So, if Trump demands it back, Putin’s going to say “No.”  Then what?  I suppose there are two options, Trump goes home looking weak as hell, or he mobilizes the military, gets us into a hot war, and basically starts WWIII (or at the very least allows his critics to call him a warmonger).  Trump can’t win.

Gowdy says in his shrill, annoying voice (I used to be 90/10 with this guy and now I’m down to 60/40 with the stupid crap that comes outta his mouth…) “The first thing Trump needs to do when he gets over there is demand Russia hand over these 12 nationals.”  Okay, to what end?  Putin will say, “No.”  Then what?  Trump looks weak.  This is the same thing that happened when Jeb demanded Trump apologize to his wife.  You never demand something if there is any doubt about getting it.  There’s actually no doubt about this… PUTIN WILL NOT TURN OVER THESE PEOPLE.  So Trump looks weak and gets nothing in return other than elevating Putin and giving his critics more ammo to ridicule him with.  Trump can’t win.

Then everyone says that he should have confronted Putin about the meddling.  Well, that’s great.  The more Trump shouts about Russian meddling, the more he damages his own presidency by basically saying “I was not duly elected!”  To which he was, but perception is everything.  It’s also silly when every country is meddling in pretty much every election.  Obama tried like hell to get Netanyahu defeated in Israel, and that’s our ally!  I mean, I expect enemies to sabotage and backstab, but when friends do it, that’s despicable.  It’s also laughable since Hillary injected herself into the Russian election trying to get Putin defeated.  Or as Chris McDaniel put it, “The democrat stance is that 12 Russians swung the election but that 12 million illegals have no effect whatsoever.”  But again!  To what end?  “You meddled in our election.”  “No, we didn’t.”  I mean, does that just devolve into a “liar liar pants on fire/I know you are but what am I” playground-style fight?  Does Putin get to play the high-road and declare that he had Trump over in good faith and Trump insulted him to his face?   Do we go to war over this or something?  Trump can’t win.

And that’s what ticks me off about the entire thing.  Nothing he could have done would have sufficed.  Everything was a trap one way or another.  Based on this, his Helsinki trip was basically perfect just because it wasn’t an unmitigated disaster.  More and more, the media has become the boy that cried “Hitler!”  75% of the country has stopped listening to them entirely.  The other 25% take their daily dose day after day and get more wound-up and rabid.  This cannot end well.

Thank You, Putin

Before I begin, the idea that Trump is a pawn of Putin is ludicrous, and I will explain this below.  However, first let me mock you.

If Putin caused Hillary to lose, I want to thank Vladimir.  Thank you, Vlad, for saving our country.  Thank you.

Seriously.  I believe Hillary would have destroyed this country.  She would have sold us out to the globalists and taken our guns away.  Here’s the sad fact, Hillary supporters.  Even if you could prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that Putin wanted Trump to be elected–even if you proved that he “handed the election to Trump,” I would still rather Trump had won.

Now, I will explain why it is ludicrous that Trump is some sort of Russian pawn:

1 – If Trump was in league with Russia, do you think he would have cracked jokes about Russia hacking and releasing Hillary’s e-mails?  Of course not.  In fact, he probably would have played up being anti-Russia.  It would have played well with the Conservative base, and there would be little danger involved because Russia was in on it.

2 – I know for a fact that there is nothing going on (at least to the greatest extent of anyone’s knowledge).  You know how I know?  Because it’s not plastered all over the front page.  You think that these leakers would say “Well, we have the thing that will sink Trump for sure… but let’s just leak that Flynn discussed sanctions on this phone call that we were tapping.”

3 – If Obama had any true concern that a Presidential candidate was being put forth by Russia, he would have had an obligation to bring that forward.  He didn’t.   If you believe that he was a good American President, he had to do this.  I don’t buy his, “I knew that Putin was trying to deliver the election to Trump, but I didn’t want to seem partisan.”  That is like saying, “I saw a black guy about to rape a woman, and I didn’t stop him because I didn’t want to seem racist.”  No.  You stop it.  You have a moral obligation to stop it.  If your vanity is that pathetic, then by God, he never should have been President.

4 – On to Sessions.  I am sorry, but meeting with a Russian Ambassador is not suspicious.  Let’s be honest, Ambassadors are heavily monitored and spied upon (just ask Flynn).  Putin is ex-KGB.  If he was running some kind of deal through, he would use an American that was converted.  It would be someone you had no idea was remotely related to Russia.   This is just silly.

5 – Sessions answered the question.  His comment about never meeting with Russians was clearly in the context of being a Trump surrogate.

6 – Finally… Sessions is a 70-year-old from the South.  He went through the 50′s.  He went through the missile crisis.  The nuclear hysteria of the 1980s.  The fall of the Berlin wall.  You honestly expect me to believe that Sessions cooperated with the Russians? Nope.  Not buying it.  Sorry.  Premise does not make sense.  You lose!  You get nothing!  Good-day, Sir!

When the CIA becomes the KGB – The Michael Flynn Saga

Posted by Troy on 15th February 2017 in Entertainment, Political

I hate to break it to CNN and the Democrats, but I have a feeling that most people are not all that concerned about Michael Flynn’s phone call.  It seems common sense and natural that an in-coming administration would talk to diplomats to establish relationships and start forging ahead.  The people really upset about this are the same people that chose to look the other way at the Fast and Furious, IRS scandal, Benghazi, the Clinton Foundation, and countless other gross violations.

Release the transcript.

That’s how you know that whatever said was pretty tame.  In this “Anti-Trump” environment, if it was actually something noteworthy, it would have been plastered all over the front page.

In regards to Michael Flynn, I will wait to pass any judgement until I see the transcript.  I assume that this is politicians playing politics.  Until I see some sort of proof that he actually said anything of note, I will not get excited.

However, what makes me afraid is this:

People are claiming that un-elected government workers should thwart foes foreign and domestic. Well, I agree.  It’s every citizen’s duty to defend the Constitution, but Trump had done nothing of the sort.  To date, he has done more to recognize the Constitution than any President I have seen in my adult life.  I remember Obama constantly assaulting the Constitution.  Bear in mind, he had more 0 to 9 decisions (including two Justices that HE appointed!) than any other President in history.

Transference/Projection:

Trump and his supporters are fascists that will be rioting in the street if he loses!  Well, it would seem that Hillary supporters are the ones that cannot accept the results of the election.  They are the ones that are rioting in the streets and hitting people and burning things.  Nothing says you are anti-fascist like beating the shit outta people that don’t share your beliefs.

Michael Flynn gave speeches to the Russians!  Yeah…and Bill gave speeches to them for millions of dollars in advance of 25% of the North American supply of uranium being sold to Russia.

The Left praised Bush for not getting involved in criticizing the next President.  Meanwhile, Obama sets up an organization and affiliates himself with groups funding the professional rioters.

The Left likes to portray Trump supporters as belligerent morons.  Yet, if they ever bring themselves to actually have a political discussion with me or any other Trump supporter, it quickly turns into the leftist just screaming.

The Left claims that Trump is delivering us into the hands of the Russians, and the Russians are trying to make us lose faith in our institutions.  Yeah, like California succeeding wouldn’t work against us.  No people can be conquered if they are united.  I have never seen us so fractured.  Instead of trying to come together at all, the Left is driving their base into a frenzy and sowing seeds of hatred among them.  What has Trump done to divide us anywhere on the scale of what I just mentioned?  In fact, considering the vile and extreme sentiments aimed at him constantly, his responses have been very mute and restrained.  To the regular people who spew bile at him, he has been completely silent.

Meanwhile, while all of this is going on, Trump’s administration is cracking down on Russia at the UN.  Mattis is getting NATO to actually fund more for their own defense.  Japan and Israel seem thrilled at our new President.  You can tell by their body language that when Trump says America stands behind their allies, they believe him–whereas Obama’s promises of support were mere bluff.  Just ask the Syrians what red-lines drawn by Obama meant.

What I fear is that the CIA really is the shadow-government that conspiracy theorists claim.  Do as they say, or they will destroy you.  This is dangerous.  If this is true, this means that no one is safe.  Also, there are protections in place to protect American citizens even if the CIA is tapping Russian diplomats (which they always are–just as we are always interfering in the elections of Russia, Israel, Canada, England…).  Given the time that these taps were happening, this means that Obama or one of his higher level minions spied on their political opponents.  You want to talk about Soviet Russia?

I don’t fear the Russians.  I have shot Russian ammunition.  After you do so, you will understand that Russia is no real threat.

If an operative shows up with plans for Trump to declare martial law, I will applaud them.  If someone assassinates a President that declares martial law, I will applaud them.  But what is happening here is that things are being leaked to undermine Trump’s Presidency.  They want him to look weak and stupid and hurt our international relations.  Why?  Because Trump is a danger to our country?  What seems to be a bigger danger to our country?  One man which is subject to the checks and balances that have kept us a free people for close to 250 years?  Or does it seem more likely that fomenting civil unrest, pitting countryman against countryman, undermining the trust of our allies, and emboldening our enemies?  Is having the world on fire worth making Trump look bad?  Bear in mind, you either want blood in the streets or Trump to lose in four years.  WOW!  Yey!  That’s all you will get if you are successful.  A weaker country.  That’s what you want.  Just for a better chance of beating one man at one election in four years.

To anyone that thinks I am being inconsistent, here is the difference between what is happening and Wiki-Leaks: Wiki-Leaks was a private group.  I also think they should be held accountable for their illegal acts.  That does not mean that I will not consider the information that is provided out of something that is obtained illegally.  Truth must be regarded, but those those broke the law must be held to account.  But this is a government agency working against its political opponents.  That is dangerous.  This is what makes totalitarian regimes.  If Flynn broke a law, he should face the punishment.  But I am MUCH more concerned about the government acting to suppress their political prisoners.
