“We’re not going to come take your guns away.” Yeah, suuuuure

Posted by Troy on 18th February 2013 in Current Events, Political

New York tried to pass a measure which would allow them to confiscate “assault weapons” from law abiding citizens.

California tried to pass a law that would allow them to confiscate “assault weapons” from law abiding citizens.

Missouri tried to pass a law that would allow them to confiscate “assault weapons” from law abiding citizens.

Now Washington (state) has tried to pass a law that would give them the right to come into the house of someone who legally owns an “assault weapon” and see if it is being stored properly.  I have a feeling, if it isn’t, that confiscation would be an option.

All of these measures have been put forth by Democrats.

In each time, Democrats claim to be shocked and ignorant that these provisions are in these bills.

Obama promised that he wasn’t going to come take your guns away.

Yeah, suuuuuuure.

Rahm Emanuel – Fascist

Posted by Troy on 25th January 2013 in Political

I’ve said it before, but now there is proof.  Rahm is asking banks to pressure gun manufacturers to go along with “common sense” gun control by cutting them off from funds if they do not comply.  Okay, this is what happens under Fascism.  You play ball, or you starve.  Could you imagine if bankers tried that against the labor unions?  What if they did it against people for promoting gay marriage?  I could do this all day.  The banks have no right to deny someone a loan because of their political, religious, or any other belief.  If you think otherwise, think how you would feel if you couldn’t get a mortgage because of who you voted for?  In Communist Russia, if you didn’t toe the party line, you didn’t eat.  This is the same thing.  Extortion.  Nothing else.

Tom Brokaw – Not the Greatest Generation

Posted by Troy on 18th January 2013 in Current Events, Political

Tom Brokaw scoffs at people who say, “I need my assault weapon to defend myself when the government comes to confiscate my assault weapon.”  And proof that it must not have been the “Greatest Generation” or else Tom Brokaw is not one of the greatest.  Hey, dummy, it’s not to defend because they’ve come to confiscate their weapons.  It is to defend against WHY they want to confiscate the weapons.  That is to say, it is because a government that is intent on disarming its populace is intent on oppressing that populace.  It’s not to defend against being disarmed, it is to protect against what the government intends to do after they are disarmed.  It’s much easier to put up a fight while you’re still armed.  As such, when they come for your arms, that’s when you should fight.

Warning Signs of Fascist Totalitarianism

Posted by Troy on 16th January 2013 in Current Events, Political

Here’s a couple of warning signs of fascist totalitarianism.  Totalitarianists love to use little children to push their agenda.  This is because seeing children ramps up the emotional side of us and defeats our rational thought.  We will agree to destroy our freedoms to “protect the children” which represents the future.  However, these are false promises.  All that happens is we give up our own freedoms and rob our children the right to enjoy those freedoms.

That brings us to the second issue.  New York is forcing law abiding citizens to register their “assault weapons.”  If they do not renew this registration every five years, it becomes a felony.  Yeah, no one has forgotten to renew their driver’s license, and that’s something that they use daily.  I wonder if criminals are going to bother registering their weapons.  Nope?  Then, again, this is just a law that penalizes the law abiding citizens, and to what end?  In history, registration of guns always leads to confiscation which leads to mass graves (Germany, Russia, China).

No lives are going to be saved by any of these measures that the President took.  If you banned all assault weapons, criminals will just use whatever weapon they can find.  A shotgun will kill ya just as good as an AR-15 any day and twice on Sundays.  Making doctors tattle on their patients will have the possible side-effect of preventing these people from seeking help in the first place.  Doctors have an obligation to notify police if they feel their patients pose a real threat to someone.  Right now, I’m recommending that people lie to their doctors and tell them that they do not own a gun if they are asked.

I’m sick of how this President operates.  Mark my words, when they start marching out kids that have been coached by party liners to advance the agenda, there’s trouble brewing.  Don’t be fooled.  Let’s let our kids be kids, and we’ll be grown-ups and actually deal with the problem.  If you ask a kid, they might tell you we should end homelessness by giving everyone a house.  Kids aren’t equipped to solve grown-up problems.  However, I can understand why Obama would want to surround himself with children.  It must feel like a Democratic National Convention.

Connecticut Massacre

Posted by Troy on 14th December 2012 in Current Events

It is rare that I would use the word massacre, but it is fitting.  When a grown man slaughters defenseless children, what else could it be called?

First, let me say that there is nothing more painful than what those parents are going through.  Throughout the animal kingdom, we are programmed with an overwhelming need to protect our young.  I should imagine it feels as though their hearts have literally been ripped from their heart.  Nothing could be so terrible.

Some would say it is too soon to defend gun rights in the wake of this tragedy.  Unfortunately, those same people that would say that are the same ones that are using this tragedy to push for gun control measures while we are still on the heels of this tragedy.

This was a monstrous act by an evil man.  There are reports that say that one of the dead teachers at the school was his mother.  While I do not condone it, matricide does make some sort of sense.  The two could have hated one another.  There could be molestation or other issues involved.  However, he targeted the kids on purpose.  This wasn’t one or two kids getting killed as he gunned down his mother.  This was him wanting to kill kids.  As such, this is an issue of methodology.  Timothy McVeigh killed 19 kids using a bomb.  The US Government caused the deaths of over 20 using siege equipment at Waco (not to mention all the collateral damage using bombs, etc).  My point?  That this guy could have devised a way of killing just as many using something other than a gun.  If the President moves to re-enact the “assault” weapons ban, do you really think the outcome would have been better if he used a 12 gauge shotgun?  A .223 is a good weapon for distance shooting.  In these circumstances, I would argue the death count would have been even higher if he had used a shotgun.

If we want to put an end to these tragedies, gun laws are not the answer.  Instead, we need to look at drugs.  We need to look a the breakdown of the moral fiber of our society.  We need to look at the filth we call entertainment.  We need to talk about the breakdown of the American family.  Check this guy’s Amazon account.  I guarantee he was watching violent movies or listening to violent music or playing violent video games, but we can’t talk about that.  Right?  We can only deal with the symptoms, not the cause.

My heart goes out to all those parents.  That is all I can say.

Long Live the Constitution, and may their souls rest in peace in Heaven.

Gun Control and Mass Shootings

Posted by Troy on 22nd July 2012 in Current Events, Political

Before the bodies were even cold, the Left started using the recent shooting as an excuse to expand gun control.  So, are they justified?

I am a Libertarian by nature.  I prefer, to the largest degree possible, to preserve liberty.  This guy was determined to get a high body count.  If we eliminated guns all together, any idiot can go out and buy gas cans (or other materials) and make a crude bomb that is capable to killing many people.  The problem with laws like this is that it denies the underlying problem.  For instance, there are plenty of Conservatives that would like to make divorce illegal.  There are plenty of good reasons for doing so.  Protecting the child, sanctity of marriage, and forcing people to work out their problems among them.  Of course, this would be stupid as there are plenty of great reasons to get a divorce too.  The problem is that these people are trying to solve the symptom, not the problem.  There have been marriages since the dawn of time, so why do we see a sudden spike in divorce?  That’s that needs to be worked on, the underlying culture.  Likewise, if there is more gun violence, we need to look at the reason for it.  For instance, let’s assume that drug use is the cause of gun violence.  Okay, well, what’s the cause of drug use?  Well, let’s say that it’s low economic status.  Okay, well, what is causing this?  The biggest drivers for poverty is dropping out of school (something the kid has complete control over generally) and single parenthood.  So instead of working on gun laws (which will be mostly ineffective as they will just use a different gun or learn to make a bomb and do the exact same thing again), why don’t we work on getting kids to take education seriously and making men (typically) actual take real responsibility for raising their kids (even if they are absent)–money isn’t the most important thing that should come from a father.

I am proud to see that there is not a lot of support for further gun control.  That means that people understand that these are isolated incidents and should not be allowed to infringe upon our rights.

Fast and Furious

As I predicted, so it has come to pass.  Eric Holder will have to step down as Attorney General.  If he doesn’t, they will keep digging, and there can be only one answer:  The Feds let the guns walk to paint a narrative that private gun sales are leading to guns in the hands of criminals.  This would dovetail into the UN plan for a small arms bill, and would clamp down on private gun ownership.  However, they made one fatal mistake: they put the operation in the hands of the single most incompetent administration in the history of the country.  Seriously, they couldn’t get even this to work?  Of course, if they had, they would have told us the majority of Americans are in favor of the bill/treaty/ban, and in reality, the majority of Americans could care less.  Seriously, would anyone give up their freedoms because of something happening in any other country?  If so, they’re idiots and shouldn’t have a say anyway.
