The Transgender Ban

Posted by Troy on 4th August 2017 in Current Events, Human Nature, Political

Trump tweeted out that he was going to end the military accepting transgender people.  He cited the medical costs as the reason.  And of course, everyone lost their minds.

First, I agree whole-heartedly with this decision.  For a whole host of reasons.

1 – Even if they have a policy in place that says that we will not pay for the surgery to “transition,” this will be offered eventually.  There is no way Democrats would not offer it, but even if they don’t, the hormone replacement treatment is very expensive.  Why spend the military funds on this when you can buy jets and bombs and stuff?

2 – There are so many annoying things.  Which bathrooms do they use?  How do they fill out forms?  So forth and so forth.  It’s just annoying to have to worry about such things.

3 – Transgender people have something wrong with them.  I do not hate transgender people.  I do not have ill-wishes for them.  I do not fear them.  No, I actually care for them.  Whether or not people want to admit it, the parts that they seek to rid themselves of have a purpose.  When you get rid of them, you have to take hormones and etc.  This is not mere vanity.  This is different than someone getting plastic surgery.  Why?  Because a woman getting breasts implants doesn’t say “I was a big breasted woman born in a small breasted body.”  No.  She says “I have small breasts and I wish to have large breasts.”  In this way, she is different than the transgendered man.  He says, “I am a woman born in a man’s body.”  Now, you can quote me all kinds of chromosomes this and that and blah blah blah… but all of this is irrelevant.  Even if all that is true… you are born with a penis or a vagina.  That’s biology.  It’s anatomy.  Gender, as they used to tell me, is a social construct.  I would have a slightly different feeling if they said “I wish I were a woman because…”  Then it’s NOT a mental disorder.  They are saying that they are a man and they wish to be a woman.

It may sound like I’m splitting hairs, but I do believe that this gender dismorphia is sight of a mental illness, and I am hard pressed to support giving such a person a weapon and putting them in a high stress situation.

These people do not need “acceptance.”  They need help.  If your friend came to you and said “I am a blind man in a sighted body, so I am going to remove my eyes,” you would stop them.  How is it any different?  Merely because it has something to do with genitalia?

Why I want to buy a Confederate Flag

Posted by Troy on 25th June 2015 in Uncategorized

Southerners!  Check it out!  Go to Google > Shop.  Type in “Confederate Flag.”  It comes back: Not Found.

What…the…________?!

Well, Google is no longer my search engine.  Not sure what I will be using.  I’m thinking of reviving excite.com.  They have a fun name at least.  Maybe Lycos or webcrawler or hotbot is still out there…

All the major flag companies said “We’re not making them anymore.”  To which, I said, “Eh…no matter.  China will make them.  China will make anything!”

Wal-Mart and e-bay and Amazon said they wouldn’t sell them anymore.  To which, I said, “Eh…no matter.  People can buy them elsewhere.  Besides, the vendors have every right to decide what products they carry.”

But this is beyond the pale.  It is not up to Google’s discretion to decide what is appropriate for you to buy.  This makes them hypocrites!  They are always complaining about China and censorship, and they turn around and do the exact same thing.  It is amazing how quickly they moved on this!  A near blackout on this product for which demand has not changed or has even increased!  The powers that be decided they didn’t want you to have access to it, and poof!  Gone!

I can type in “Brother Sister Incest Fiction” right now and get pages and pages of pornography.  But we have a blackout on Rebel Flags.  I could probably find bestiality and all kinds of filthy ____ with less trouble than finding the damn stars and bars?!  Are you ____ing kidding me?

If you’re black (or liberal or whatever) and reading this and getting all upset about me wanting to buy a flag, let me ask ya…what if tomorrow the powers that be decided rap music is destructive and had Amazon and Google pull your access to that?  It’s freedom of speech.  You’re either for it or against it.  You can’t have it both ways because you sell out all speech when you sell out ANY speech.

Interestingly enough, this whole episode is reminding me of the other side of the Rebel Flag, the one that doesn’t get ANY press time.  It is a symbol for the time when the states stood up to the Federal government and said, “No.”  Regardless of the fact that it was on slavery (yeah yeah, we could spend all day debating it, but the root cause of most of the friction from North and South stemmed from slavery), it is still the time the states said, “No.”

The battle flag is not illegal.  I should be able to buy it if I want to.  If I wanted to run it up my flag pole, that’s my own damn business.  While I can justify Valley Forge’s decision not to make it and Amazon’s decision not to carry it, I will forever condemn Google’s hypocritical stance to censor it.

What speech is next for Google?  Shall they deny access to politicians?  What if they chose to black out information on the Founding Fathers?  Am I taking things to a silly level?  Maybe!  But I don’t care!  I am offended and pissed off on a very deep and personal level.  The logic is the same.  They have deemed themselves to be the adjudicator to the ideas you are allowed to expose yourself to!

Goodbye Google.  I shall not miss you.

ATF to Ban AR-15 Ammo

Posted by Troy on 16th February 2015 in Current Events, Political

This isn’t a joke, and it’s not the rantings of a paranoid conspiracy nut.  The ATF (aka BAFTE) is looking at changing the classification of the AR-15 round (.223) as “Armor Piercing.”

“Um, so what, dude?”

The “so what” is that this will, de facto, make the round unavailable to the US consumer.  It is BANNED if they classify it as such.

This is wrong on so many levels.  The worst of which is that it is cheating.  They couldn’t ban AR-15′s outright.  They can’t even drum up any sort of viable movement to do so.  The reason is because people are rational and know that the choice of weapon is meaningless.  If someone wants to kill someone and can’t get an AR-15, they will use a shotgun or a pistol or whatever.  They also can’t even use statistics as the “assault rifle” accounts for a very small portion of all firearm deaths.  So what do they do?  They use language to rob people of their rights.

Honestly, even left-wingers should be furious and outraged.  Of course, they won’t be.  I haven’t met a left-winger yet that isn’t a “ends justify the means” person.  It’s the end of the Communist Manifesto.  ”By any means necessary.”  It’s a mantra they live by.  It’s Orwellian.  You change the language to control the people.

The majority of .223 rounds are NOT armor piercing (the military does make certain rounds that ARE armor piercing).  If they can do this with the .223 round, what is to stop them from doing it with other ammo?  Why not?

This is purely agenda driven.  They couldn’t get gun control legitimately.  They couldn’t even get it after Sandy Hook and the media and Hollywood doing everything in their power to force people to “beg for gun control.”  They couldn’t even do it by playing with language.  Have you noticed that all the polls say, “Do you support common sense gun control measures?”  Shit!  Who’s going to say “no?”  What would you be saying?  ”No!  I’m irrational!  I am against all common sense gun control measures?”  There is no option that says, “I know you are trying to trick me and that your definition of common sense has no correlation to my definition of common sense.”

We have just one month to let the ATF know what we think about this.  Spread the word!  Here is the pronouncement.  Go to apacomments@atf.gov to let them know what you think.

CDC Director “We shouldn’t stop flights”

Posted by Troy on 15th October 2014 in Current Events, Political

In interviewing the CDC Director (Thomas Frieden), Megyn Kelly asked why we shouldn’t stop air traffic to West Africa (as a rational person would want to know).  Thomas Frieden responded that it would hurt our ability to help West Africa because it would hinder getting aid workers out of the area.  She asked about charter flights, and he seemed unable to understand how this would be a better solution (you know…less people going in and out of the country).

I guess my first reaction is: “____ West Africa.”  I’m serious, if the options are to help West Africa and put us at risk or let West Africa die…guess which one I’m going with.

So, why are they doing this?  There’s got to be something they are not telling us.  My gut is telling me that President Obama is committed to helping West Africa regardless of the consequences.  We are sending military people into this area.  It is pretty much guaranteed that some of them are going to contract Ebola.

Obama says we HAVE to help West Africa or Ebola will spread throughout all of Africa.  I guess my first reaction of “____ Africa” wouldn’t play well with him.  But let’s assume that he would counter with “But then it will spread all over the world and it will be just like Stephen King’s The Stand.”

I find that difficult to believe.  England, France, and a lot of other countries have cut off air travel to West Africa.  These are developed countries.  Don’t you think they would have medical experts that would warn them of an end of the world scenario?

Here’s what I believe:  I believe that Obama is dedicated to helping West Africa and is going to do it whatever the cost to do so.  However, just like his war on ISIS, he wants other countries to shoulder the load when it comes to manpower and financing the operation.  As such, he cannot shut down air travel.  If he does, it sends the wrong signal to the other countries he is trying to trick into paying to save a country that isn’t theirs.  He would be saying that the disease could be isolated.  He would also be saying that it is more important to protect the countries’ own citizens over helping the West Africans.
