On Baltimore

Posted by Troy on 29th July 2019 in Current Events, Political

A lot of people claim to be upset by Trump’s Baltimore comment.  However, I take severe issue with one commentator’s condemnation.  She likened Baltimore to LA saying that if you go to Skid Row, yes, they have a filth and rat problem, but if you go to Beverly Hills, LA is gorgeous.

Doesn’t she get that this is worse? What she is admitting is there is plenty of money in the city.  They are taking care of the rich people, but they are not providing adequate, basic services to poor side of town.  This isn’t like schools.  With a school, the kids and the parents have a real affect on outcome.  But a poor rat dies just as easily as a rich rat.

Swamp Fox Solution for Healthcare

Posted by Troy on 26th July 2019 in Uncategorized

A lot of people would say that detractors of Obamacare do not offer any solutions.  Here is my solution.

If you are below the poverty level, you are on Medicaid.

We then set up the baseline “government plan.”  This plan covers issues from birth or due to genetic defect that may manifest after birth.  It covers 1 wellness check.  It covers pregnancies.  I covers emergency medical intervention.  What it does not cover are things like cancer, cardiovascular surgery, hip and knee replacements, and other such medical treatments which are very costly.

Cancer and other specialty insurance could be purchased out of pocket.

The government plan is available across state lines.  The plan is subsidized and phased out to make this basic coverage affordable much in the way the exchange insurance works currently.

On the supply-side, We use our immigration policies to poach providers from around the world.  We also create a new class of medical provider that will have very limited training that can do the basics like perform basic tests, handle stitches and other minor proceedures, and make referrals.  This creates a very cost effective first point of contact for those needing medical attention.

This program would affordably provide medical coverage to American citizens.

The Strange Case of Jeremy Jones

Posted by Troy on 25th July 2019 in Uncategorized

Jones is a 22 year-old black male living in Chicago.  He was targeted by a police officer who was convinced Jones was guilty of the murder of a white teen girl.  The officer paid a know criminal to file a tip that Jones was covered in blood the night of the murder.

Jones, fearing life in prison, asked his mother to lie and testify that she was with him the night of the murder.  She refused and told the truth.

After investigating, it was determined that Jones was innocent and that he had been targeted by a crooked cop.  Jones was sentenced, however, to five years in prison on the charge of obstruction of justice for asking his mother to lie.

If you think this is ridiculous, this is what Democrats want to do to Trump.

Muller’s hearing

A study in confirmational bias.  It will change no minds in either direction.

Democrats keep harping on Trump’s desire to obstruct justice.  I say desire as he asked people to obstruct and they  did not.  So you have no  actual obstruction on a case with no crime on a case that is possibly generated on lies and inuendo dreged up by the opposition party who lost an election.  Frankly, pushing obstruction on this fact-set would be a travesty of justice.

On the otherside, Republicans effectively showed that the investigation played hardball with everyone connected to Trump and softball with anyone connected to Hillary.  He showed bias in choosing not to investigate any thread that is connected to Hillary.  And he showed bias in how he staffed the investigation.

When questioned by Democrats he more or less said “if that’s what the report says, that is correct.” When questioned by Republicans, he said “I can’t speak on that.”  He even said that on stuff that was actually covered in the report!  A lot of times, he sounded like he did not know what was actually in the report.

I think this was a total disaster for the Democrats.  They would have been better served by trying to fix healthcare or immigration or infrastructure.  They have wasted their time and look ridiculous.

Epstein

So this guy trafficked young girls, and got 10 MONTHS in jail and could leave for the day.  That this basically means is that he was protected by very powerful individuals.  I suspect that he videoed or photographed his “friends” and used them as leverage.  What I am unsure of is if the blackmail was the source of his wealth or just a means to protect his own twisted sexual appetite.

ANTIFA beats journalist

Posted by Troy on 3rd July 2019 in Current Events, Political

The media decries Trump calling fake news the enemy of the people.  They say that he is promoting violence against journalists.  How strange it is that the only violence and harassment seem to be against conservative journalists.  Now, ANTIFA beats a journalist so bad that he has brain damage.  The Portland mayor tells cops not to interfere.  I don’t know why I would be surprised by this.  Democrat mayors had a history of letting the KKK assault and harass citizens.  But what of the liberal media? Either no comment or a tepid “violence is never justified….but lets be honest, Ngo brought it on himself.”  They would probably agree that the slut WANTED it…i mean… look at how she was dressed.
