A great series.  Duckman is my spiritual brother.  We both rant about the injustice of society.  Whereas I can’t say I always agree with some of the politics of the show, it is super funny, a bit raunchy, but funny.  The entire four seasons is very affordably priced.

Syria Uses Chemical Weapons

Posted by Troy on 25th April 2013 in Current Events

Who could have predicted this?  Ummmmm, the Swamp Fox Press?  Yep.  As I predicted, Assad had to choose between giving up power or rolling the dice and seeing if America would actually do anything if he used chemical weapons.  Thank you Hillary Clinton!  And Obama, of course.  Now, we get to look like punks.

1)  The smartest thing we could have done was just let Syria do it’s own thing and see what happens, but we ran our big mouth, so this is out now.

2)  The next smartest thing we could do is NOTHING.  If we get involved, it will be another money hole that we don’t have.  Let the Middle East sort itself out.  The downside is now we look like pussies because we said we’d do something and we won’t.

Basically, after all this, it just gets worse and worse.

We can commit our troops.  If we do, Americans die, and we will be blamed for collateral damage.  Worst thing about it is they will hold it against us that we came in at the end to steal all the glory.

We can give them guns and ammo and training.  If we do, then these things will wind up in the hands of terrorists.

Seriously, to hell with it.  Let them fight it out and let the chips all where they may.

Boston Bomber to be Tried as a Civilian

I can’t believe I”m saying this…but I agree with Obama.  You have a US Citizen that was captured on US soil.  He should have all the rights and protections that come with being a US citizen.  Otherwise, the terrorists really have won.  That being said, I can’t believe they are not charging him with murder or treason.  Both of those fit and should be applied.  Finally, there is a lot of weird stuff going on.  I think we are going to find out something that really pisses us off soon.  It is very strange we had a Saudi national that was listed for terrorism that was cleared and deported and files sealed within a 48 hour period.  That is really, really odd.  That doesn’t get done.  Not that fast.  What’s up with that?  Then the Russians warned us about this guy in 2009 and 2011.  We checked him out, supposedly, and didn’t notice all the radical Islamic stuff on his Facebook?  So forth.  Lots of weird stuff happening.  I am curious to see how it all turns out.

As God Sees You

Right now, you are perfect.  Two minutes ago, you could have been in the arms of a prostitute.  You could have killed a man.  You could have done anything.  But, right at this moment, you are perfect.  You could live out your entire life without committing another sin.  That choice is yours.  This is why God forgives because, right now, you are without sin.  This is not meant to excuse whatever you have done wrong.  You must repent, naturally, if you are to change.  Without repentance, there would be no need to change.  However, one must realize that you COULD be without sin to even attempt it.  Live your life with this realization, and apply this realization to others.  You would be amazed at what your life could become.

A Minority of Senators Kills Gun Control

Posted by Troy on 19th April 2013 in Current Events

Obama got on TV, whining and crying like a child that didn’t get his way, because a “minority of Senators” defeated the “will of the people.”  Sooooo….

1)  Maybe Obama doesn’t understand how the Senate works.  This could be why he voted Present so  many times.  These are the rules that have to be played by.  Sorry, Charlie.  Read the Constitution.

2)  Maybe Obama doesn’t like the Constitution.  He doesn’t, of course.  He’s made several comments about how he’d like to do it alone, but he’s not a dictator.  Personally, I think if he could push a button and become a dictator, he would do so quickly.  He’s fond of unilateral executive power.

3)  I really doubt this bill have 90% approval.  They asked a lot of people in big cities that happened to vote for Obama, and I’m pretty sure the question was phrased like so, “Would you support expanded background checks that would keep guns out of the hands of criminals?”  NOT:  “Do you believe the background checks, as proposed in the Senate, will decrease gun violence?”  There’s a huge difference.

Remember to ask important questions like that.  They will lie to you with “facts.”

Long Live the Constitution.

Gun Control and Mayor Blooming Idiot

Posted by Troy on 15th April 2013 in Current Events, Political

I intend a certain amount of disrespect when I call him Mayor Blooming Idiot, but that’s just because I think he’s a fascist moron.  He’s living proof that intelligence and being a billionaire don’t have to go together.  Now he questions why a father would sell a gun to his son rather than just give it to him.  Of course, to a billionaire, maybe a few hundred dollars is but a tawdry sum not worth mentioning.  I can think of a few reasons, but I don’t think it really matters.  Here is the real issue.

Can anyone tell me how many of the guns used in mass killings were purchased illegally?  Has ANYONE thought to ask?  Does ANYONE care?  If you found out that they all came through a registered dealer and were obtained legally, would it even matter to you?  Of course, if you are against guns, that would merely prove your point that all guns need to be illegal, right?  And that’s what this is all about.  It’s about chipping away at the rights of the majority of law abiding citizens because they can’t possibly advance their agenda with the truth.

Do you care that none of the laws being proposed would have stopped any of the mass killing in the recent past?  And yet, we are treated to Obama leading around Sandy Hook survivors like trained ponies in front of the camera, begging us to advance his agenda, and for what?!  Are they just ignorant of the law?  Are the Democrats merely exploiting these people in a moment of pain the way the are trying to exploit all of us by putting these mourners on stage for us to gawk at like some side show freaks?

They claim that 90% of us are for expanded background checks.  First of all, I question how many of us care to be informed.  Most mass shooters do not have anything in their records that would have prevented them from purchasing guns to start with.  Actually, what would be a better solution is to force everyone to go through a thorough medical and mental screening every single year to address these types of issues and those who would be prone to commit other crimes.  So why don’t we do that?  Because it’s an invasive breach of our rights?   Because sacrificing the rights of everyone isn’t wroth the lives we’d save?

We do agree in background checks.  I would say that most people would even agree to adding background checks to gun shows.  However, what they are talking about doing is adding checks to every single gun sale even among friends and other private individuals.  Of course, the only way to accomplish or enforce this is to make a national registry.  This is, of course, what they say they do not want to do.  Over time, they will either lose interest in these meaningless background checks or they will push for a national registry.  I’m betting that the Democrats will do the second one.

Let’s accept something, and this is more poignant in the wake of the Boston Marathon attack.  In a free society, there are going to be cases where people break the law and bad things happen.  When this happens, you can do one of two things.  You can either accept that this is part of the human condition and punish the guilt, or you can take away the rights from everyone.  Bear in mind, doing the first one won’t make you any safer as criminals will continue to break the laws.

Which will you choose?

A Miracle – You’re the Longest Shot Out There

Posted by Troy on 14th April 2013 in Uncategorized

You mother was born with 1 to 2 million eggs.  Your father produced probably 170 million sperm the day you were conceived.  This means, off the bat, the odds of producing you, genetically, would be about 170 million raised to the one millionth power to one.  These are pretty fantastic odds.  This doesn’t include the fact that your mother and father could have chosen different partners.  Now, while all of these odds are pretty spectacular, this es expanded exponentially for every generation between you and your very first ancestor.  This then must be adjusted for the fact that your ancestors survived plagues, war, and accidents.  This makes you a miracle.

Live your life as though you are a miracle.

The Basis of All Liberal Thought

Posted by Troy on 10th April 2013 in Human Nature

The basis of all liberal thought is a whine of “That’s not fair!”

He has more money than me!  That’s not fair!

He gets to go to college, and I can’t afford it!  That’s not fair!

He has health insurance, and I don’t!  That’s not fair!

Even legitimate gripes all comes down to that phrase.  Now, of course you are going to tell me “What’s wrong with wanting things to be fair?”  What is wrong with it is that life is very fair.  It’s just not very nice.  That guy with a well paying job with health insurance busted his butt in high school and college to get that job.  Even if you want to say that he is from a rich family and “lucky,” that doesn’t pan out.  If you carry back his family tree far enough, you will find that SOMEBODY busted their butt to make a better life for themselves and their descendants.

The fact is that you would reject this thought pattern all together in your day to day life.  You know for a fact that if you have two friends in the exact same situation, and one of them tells you, “That’s not fair!” and demands the situation be rectified for him and the other says “It is what it is,” and gets to work trying to make the best of what he has, you would bet on the second guy 100% of the time.

Nobody likes a whiner.
