Monsanto Protection Act

Posted by Troy on 31st March 2013 in Political

The all out assault from all fronts continues.  It’s almost impossible to keep up with everything they are doing to us.  Now, they have passed a law that basically exempts a single corporation from the legal process.  This is a result of what Dr. Ben Carson calls the “Fourth Branch of Government,” special interests.  I am already putting my endorsement on Dr. Carson for 2016.  We must end the special interests hold on America.  Also, Americans either need to educated themselves about their candidates and the issues or have the honor NOT TO VOTE.  If we disagree with me on an issue, but you do it from an informed position, fine.  However, if you have NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON, voting is not something to be proud of.  Instead, you are only polluting the voting process and perpetuating these corrupt and incompetent movements.

Ayn Rand, Nietzsche, Socialists, and Darwin

Posted by Troy on 24th March 2013 in Political

In the Fountainhead, Ayn Rand refers to Howard Rourke as “Superman.”  This is clearly a reference to Nietzsche’s Superman.  What is interesting is that Nietzsche’s philosophy was instrumental to to Nazism etc and Rand hated all collectivism.  Another hero of the Socialist and those who like socialism is Darwin.  So, why is it that socialism/communism champions these two people?  Why is every bloody campus full of morons that spout Nietzsche and Darwin?

First, I would say that anyone that trumpets these two men probably have not read their work nor have any deeper understanding of what they really said.  People who like Nietzsche like him due to him saying “God is dead.”  What they don’t realize is that he also said that, if he was right, the world would plunge into an utter bloodbath.  They probably also didn’t know that he went insane early in his life and ended his life as a madman, scream Bible verses and having religious visions.  They probably also don’t know that Darwin’s theories were merely to prove the superiority of the white race, which is why he was so popular at the time he was writing.

Second, the concept of the Superman and of evolution is both at odds and at mesh with Socialism.  You see, the leaders under socialism use both Nietzsche and Darwin to do what Marx said “My goal is to kill God.”  The reason that they must kill God is that God is the ultimate authority, and under socialism/communism, the State has to be the ultimate authority.  It is interesting because the concept of a superman would put him above all others.  Darwin would claim that only the strong will survive.  Both of these completely counters the philosophy of “we are all equal” of communism and socialism.  However, as the elite in the Party will tell ya “Some are more equal than others.”  (George Orwell, Animal Farm).

Just like everything else under Socialism/Communism, everything is a lie used draw people in.   It is the perversion of all thought.  They will pervert religion to trick you into accepting socialism.  ”The Bible says to share with the less fortunate, so lets tax the rich and give to the poor!”  Of course, Marx did not believe in God and wanted to kill God, but they will use your religion against you.  They’ll tell the young that they are stronger and better and that they can build a better future.  Of course, their future is to kill the spikes.  To snuff out the light of this world.  They don’t intend to.  The rank and file Party Member believe that offering everyone the same opportunities and sharing the fruit of labor equally will let everyone be spikes.  However, without being able to enjoy the fruit of their labor, no one really tries.  Oh, there will always be a few that must succeed just because they must, but most people are self-interested.  Socialism attempts to water down Communism to a sustainable level whereby the masses become a political power source for their elections, but they can still suck the life from the spikes.  Unfortunately, this is just a spiral.  It takes decades to play out, but more and more people will decide not to try and become wards of the state.  They will demand that their elected officials give them more and more free stuff until the country winds up like Greece or Spain or Portugal or Cyprus or Italy.

The greatest fake true story ever.

This movie has it all.  It is funny, exciting, sweet, and whatever else you wanna find in a movie.  It captures that mystique of a man being able to jump on a horse and ride anywhere.  There’s something magical about that concept.

Disney billed this as a true story.  Unfortunately, after doing a little research, it is the true story according to a liar, basically.  This really bummed me out until my father pointed out to me, “All the movies you watch are fake.”  True enough.  Watch this movie and enjoy!

Why gays should not be allowed to be Scout Leaders

Posted by Troy on 21st March 2013 in Political

It’s so trendy now for entertainers to dis the Boy Scouts because they have decided not to allow gays to be Scout Masters.  Now, of course all those on the Left and most of those gay supports are going, “Yeah!  You tell them!”  However, these people are stupid.  As per usual, they are interested in making a point.  They don’t care about what comes after.  I can prove that this is stupid in such a way that you can see that ain’t just gay bashing or whatever.

Do you think 40 year old men should be allowed to go out alone with the Girl Scouts for camping?

What, do you think all 40 year old men are pedophiles?  Of course not!  However, there are some out there, right?  So what do you think people would say if the Girl Scouts allowed this and then it turned out that girls got molested on these trips?  They would say that this shouldn’t have occurred.  They would say that it was foolish to put this even on the table.

How is this any different?  Unless you want to go on the assumption that gay men are more noble than straight men, something that I would roll my eyes at.  I should imagine equal rates of evil among the groups.  It’s all a law of averages, isn’t it?

The Boy Scouts can make their own rules.  They are a private group.  What the world doesn’t need is a group of busybodies that show up and demand one thing and then leave and deny the results are their own handiwork.  I could come up with countless examples of this, but it would only offend.  Needless to say, they force one group to done something and then, predictably, something terrible happens, and never ONCE does the blame lay at the feet of these do-gooders.  Why?  Because they had ever so noble intentions.

The path to Hell is paved with them.  Enjoy walking it as you whistle past the graveyard.  The scenery is amazing.

Oz the Great and Powerful

Posted by Troy on 16th March 2013 in Entertainment

When I first heard they were making another Wizard of Oz movie, I thought they were insane.  Then I saw the trailer, and I knew I had to see it.  This movie is graphically stunning, and Disney really understands 3D like no body else.  I’m not a huge fan of Sam Rami (thinking that the Amazing Spider-man reboot was much better than the first Spider-man), but he was a perfect choice for this one.  The characterization was excellent.  There were some good plot twists that fit seamlessly in with the original.  They managed to make the villain sympathetic.  There were numerous laugh out loud parts.  The whole thing was rather clever.  It moved at a brisk pace and you don’t even notice two hours passing.  As an added bonus, there were children in the audience who never once cried out and laughed throughout as the movie held their interest for the entire period.  I cannot recommend this movie enough!  While I’m a huge fan of 3D, I will admit that there are parts which could give someone motion sickness if they are prone to such things.  If you have no such problems, I urge you to splurge for 3D!

Rand Paul and Personal Liberty

Posted by Troy on 15th March 2013 in Political

I’m sure he’s been reading the Swamp Fox.  Yes, the right wing party is officially dead if they are thinking that they can promote conservative values.  The Democratic party has been very effective at dividing us up into various groups and getting people to support their party based on special interest.  The only return the Republicans can have is to say that they are for economic and personal freedom.  You see, the Democrats have been offering personal freedom, and that’s what the people seem to value more than economic freedom.  That being said, if someone offered personal freedom and fiscal responsibility, that would be a selling point.  I think the vast majority of Americans want to have a balanced budget and get our house in order, but they also want the government to stay out of their business.  I couldn’t agree more.

Sequestration: We are doomed

Posted by Troy on 13th March 2013 in Political

Sequestration has proved we are doomed, at least if the Democrats stay in power.  Do you realize that by the end of Obama’s term, we will be spending more money than we were last year?  And yet, the Democrats say that this Sequestration is the death of the world.  If we can’t even hold spending steady, we are doomed.  There’s no way around that.

This is on top of the fact that insurance rates are set to increase 20 to 100% in 2014 due to Obamacare.  Thank you Obama for giving everyone healthcare by forcing everyone to buy insurance.  Good one.  Finally, Obama has declared that he will not balance the budget just to have a balanced budget.  That’s insane.  Her’s the trick, and it’s what Washington told us, there is no excuse to use public debt except for in times of war.  That’s it.  I might make an exception for long term capital projects like dams and bridges and roads, but maintenance of this and all other programs must never be funded by debt.  If you do, you have made a recipe for financial ruin.

Rand Paul vs McCain on Drone Strikes

Posted by Troy on 9th March 2013 in Political

Senators McCain and Graham ridicule Rand Paul for suggesting that the government would kill American citizens with a drone all willy nilly.  So you are probably asking, what does the Swamp Fox think?

They miss the point.  If you were to ask me if I have the right to kill you, and I replied “yes,” what would you think of me?  If I respond, well, I might have reason to, such as self-defense?  That does not change the fact that I believe I have the right to kill you.  It’s about the perception.

If the government says they have the right to take everything you own if they view it as necessary, would you go along with it?  If they say you have the right to keep and bear arms unless they decide to take it from you, would you care?  If they say you had the right to free speech as long as long as they don’t disapprove, is that a big deal?

The government that says they can arbitrarily take anything away from you (especially your life) is tyrannical in nature.  Under such a government, you have no rights except for the ones they decide to allow you to keep.  In other words, you have no rights.

That is the point.  Any government that believes they have the right to kill you outside the proper context of the law believes they have complete power over you.

Rand wins.

Go Rand, Go! – Support for Rand Paul’s Epic Filibuster

Posted by Troy on 6th March 2013 in Current Events

Much like when King Leonidas at Thermopylae, there is something very noble about a man standing against invincible odds and holding out until he is totally spent.  In the end, it will all be for naught, and he knows this.  His voice will be horse, his wits will be slowed, his body will ache, and he will have nothing to show for it other than the honor of having fought the good fight.  So, why do I praise him?  Because, in the end, that is all of us.  At the end of the day, this world destroys us all in the truest sense that we will all die.  All we can do is try our best and fight the good fight every day of our lives even though we know in the end, defeat is inevitable.  I think that’s why we support the valiant.  That’s why we root for the underdog.

I have to say, I love some of the points he is making.  This is his finest moment, and this is what he will be remembered for, especially if he breaks Strom Thurmond’s record.  I hope he does.  I hope they do a DVD collection of his speech.  I know I’d watch it.

For evil to triumph, good men need do nothing.  For our rights to be stripped one by one, we just remain silent.  Praise be to Rand Paul for making his stand and speaking his mind.

Colorado has gone nuts

Posted by Troy on 5th March 2013 in Current Events, Political

When I say Colorado, what do you think of? Mountain men?  Rugged individuals?  Outdoorsy types?  Campers?  Hunters?  So forth?  So, why is it that they are on the verge of passing some of the craziest gun laws in the country that will do nothing to reduce gun deaths?  So why is this?  Well, I know that Colorado has become a Mecca for pot lovers and X-treme gamers and what not.  Maybe the crazies have out paced the rugged individualists?  Oh, Heaven help us.  It is clear that the Democratic party is hungry to make an example state.  What better example state than Colorado?  A state where they have the power to pull it off without opposition?  A state which is synonymous with rugged masculinity?  I hate to break it to them, it is going to backfire and backfire royally.  The normal people are going to slaughter the Democrats in the next election.  You will also see extreme grass roots movements to counter any attempts at gun control.  Finally, you will see NRA membership skyrocket.
